It should be noted that the Crimean Tatar Resource Center is systematically working to bring to justice those who violate Ukrainian law by carrying out public activities in occupied Crimea. Back in 2021, the CTRC called for sanctions against 230 actors, musicians, and TV presenters who participated in such illegal events.
After all, the actions of representatives of the Russian show business contribute to the Kremlin’s propaganda goals, which are aimed at consolidating the occupied Crimea as part of the Russian Federation in the minds of Crimeans, which poses a threat to the national interests, national security, sovereignty, and territorial integrity of Ukraine.
In 2021, the CTRC sent official letters with relevant proposals to the President of Ukraine, the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada, the SBU, and the NBU. Since then, the CTRC’s list has been partially taken into account, in particular, the following figures have already been sanctioned: Polina Gagarina, Dima Bilan, Larisa Dolina, Grigory Leps, Dmitry Pevtsov, Oleg Gazmanov, Igor Ugolnikov, Ivan Okhlobystin, Olga Buzova, Stas Mikhailov, and Timati.
