Forced mobilization intensified in the occupied territories

January 10, 2024

The occupiers turned their attention to farmers from the occupied territories as part of forced mobilization. This was stated by the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.

“Now the security officers have focused special attention on farmers: to farms in a number of settlements, the Russians have sent written demands to immediately register with the military to all men of military age. In case of failure to comply with the directive, agricultural enterprises or individual farmers will be punished with fines of 400 thousand rubles (about $4,500), however, payment of this amount does not guarantee avoidance of participation in the war against Ukraine in the ranks of the army of the aggressor state of Russia”,- the message says.

The MID stated that the forced mobilization was caused by the need to cover the losses of personnel, as well as a decrease in support for the war among the Russian population.

“Since Kremlin technologists believe that it is impossible to announce a large-scale wave of mobilization in Russia, so as not to worsen the social background before the so-called Putin elections, the male civilian population in the occupation is again under a wave of pressure. In fact, all men aged 18 to 65 are under the threat of forced mobilization, and often 16- and 17-year-old teenagers, whom Moscow also forces into the occupation army”,- the statement says.

We remind you that the Crimean Tatar Resource Center last year launched an information campaign  “Grave Mogilization”, within the framework of which residents of Crimea are informed about the consequences of participating in the war on the side of the Russian Federation, how they can avoid mobilization, what to do if they receive a summons, how to travel to third countries etc.
