The Dnipro District Court of Kyiv sentenced in absentia the former mayor of Aqmescit (Simferopol), Ihor Lukashov, to 12 years in prison for high treason. This is reported by the Unified State Register of Court Decisions.
According to the text of the verdict, a month after the occupying parliamentarian of the peninsula supported the annexation, Lukashov voted for a new constitution that recognized Crimea as part of the Russian Federation.
All Lukashov’s property will be confiscated.
