40-year-old former deputy of the Alushta City Council Tymur Krymbariiev was arrested due to suspicions of committing seizure of a mosque and propaganda of a radical form of Islam. This was reported by the Russian Telegram channel Mash on the Wave.
It is known that a search was carried out at the home of the so-called group leader Ridvan Maksudov, where a number of documents, ammunition and firearms were allegedly found. Krymbariiev and several other men are suspected of committing a coup on the territory of Aqmescit (Simferopol) in the Suvuk-dere prayer house.
