March 15, 2023

On Tuesday, March 14, Ernest Seitosmanov’s detention was extended for another 2 months. It is reported by the Crimean solidarity.

The interrogation of Seitosmanov took place in the Southern District Military Court. He is accused of participating in and supporting the Hizb-ut-Tahrir organization.

“During the interrogation in court, Ernest Seitosmanov explained that he had nothing to do with terrorism”,- said Aleksei Ladin, the political prisoner’s lawyer.

Despite this, the court granted the prosecutor’s request to extend the detention of Ernest Seitosmanov.

The next meeting is scheduled for April 3rd.

Recall that on February 9, 2022, Russian security forces came with searches to the houses of four Crimean Tatars: Ansar Osmanov, Ametkhan Abdulvapov, Marlen Mustafaiev and Ernest Seitosmanov. All of them were arrested on suspicion of involvement in the Hizb-ut-Tahrir organization banned in Russia.
