The Russian military court of appeal in Vlasikha upheld the sentence of Crimean journalist and political prisoner Ernest Ametov.
We remind you that Ernest Ametov was first detained in the territory of occupied Crimea in October 2017 and was illegally kept in prison for almost three years until September 2020. Ernest Ametov was detained in Crimea for the second time in the spring of 2022.
On December 29, 2022, the Southern District Military Court in Rostov-on-Don announced the verdict of Ernest Ametov, a defendant in the Hizb ut-Tahrir case. The occupiers sentenced the man to 11 years in a maximum security colony and 1 year of restrictions.
