The Crimean branch of the international movement #LiberateCrimea said that the mass development of coastal areas in Crimea deprives the resort peninsula of its natural uniqueness, reports “Krym.realii”.
“They build all along the coast. And this is under the threat of water shortages, overloaded sewage treatment plants, the growth of traffic jams and accidents on the roads… Unique views of Crimean nature are disappearing, there are fewer and fewer wild corners, the capacity of quarries for the extraction of construction materials is increasing,” – said the activist of #LiberateCrimea.
The Crimean branch of the international movement added that Crimea is losing its identity, turning into the likeness of Krasnodar resorts, where natural landscapes have been replaced by man-made ones.
The activists said that they observe clear signs of ecocide in Crimea, and the main reason is mass development.
