During the occupation of Crimea, 301 people prosecuted in criminal cases were recorded – CTRC

According to the Crimean Tatar Resource Center, 301 political prisoners and those prosecuted in criminal cases were recorded during the occupation of Crimea, 202 of them are representatives of the Crimean Tatar people. According to the CTRC, this category consists of 5 components depending on the status of the persecuted:

– sentenced and serve terms in colonies (147, 99 – Crimean Tatars);

– have restrictions or a on probation (34, 19 – Crimean Tatars);

– in detention facilities (35, 24 – Crimean Tatars);

– released (53, 33 – Crimean Tatars);

– persecuted (32, 26 – Crimean Tatars).
