The Supreme Court of the Republic of Crimea did not satisfy the complaint of lawyer Edem Semedliaiev that the detention of four elderly Crimean Tatars near the Kyiv District Court was illegal. The defender told Crimean Solidarity about this.
Semedliaiev filed a complaint against the ruling of the Kyiv District Court dated August 26, 2023.
“Of course, this is nonsense when people are simply grabbed and shoved into a bus, administrative protocols are drawn up against them simply because they came to support their compatriots, stood aside, and waited for a court decision. The authorities don’t like it. There is dissonance: they are trying to show that they have detained malicious violators, terrorists, but people come to support them. If the offender killed, raped or did something condemned, they come to him to spit in his face or insult him. Here it’s the other way around. The maximum that these people could do was talk about Islam”,- Semedliaiev said.
