CTRC presented to the Ministry of Reintegration the results of the work of the Strategic Forum “The Future of Crimea”

On Wednesday, May 3, the Crimean Tatar Resource Center presented to the Vice Prime Minister – Minister for the Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories of Ukraine Iryna Vereshchuk recommendations on the reintegration of Crimea, which were developed during the strategic forum “The Future of Crimea”.

We remind you that from March 3 to March 7, 2023, the Crimean Tatar Resource Center, with the support of the Friedrich Naumann Foundation for Freedom in Ukraine, held “The Future of Crimea” Strategic Forum, which was attended by 20 experienced experts, including 7 doctors of science.

The experts developed recommendations on the reintegration of Crimea, taking into account the collective rights of indigenous peoples, which were presented to the Vice Prime Minister – Minister for the Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories of Ukraine Iryna Vereshchuk, Deputy Minister Anatolii Stelmakh and Head of the Information Policy Department of the Ministry for the Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories Volodymyr Tarchynskyy.

The experts provided recommendations in 10 areas:

  • Public authority
  • Criminal policy
  • Civil policy
  • Migration policy
  • Social and humanitarian policy
  • Information policy
  • Environmental policy
  • Policy of justice.
  • International politics.
  • Anti-corruption policy

Based on the results of the meeting, Iryna Vereshchuk proposed to work out in detail certain directions.

“I sincerely thank you for your work. The result of developments should be changes in legislation. We at the Ministry are always open to cooperation and appreciate the desire of experts to join this process”,- she added.

These recommendations were developed with the support of the International Renaissance Foundation and of the Friedrich Naumann Foundation for Freedom in Ukraine.
