The Crimean Tatar Resource Center continues to cooperate with Ukrainian business as part of the information campaign Return the names – return Crimea, aimed at restoring historical names on the peninsula.
Previously, we told you about the “Crimean Yard” cafe in Lviv, which appeared with stickers with the real names of Crimean cities and QR codes for the information campaign of the Crimean Tatar Resource Center “By returning the names we will return Crimea”.
Today we want to tell you about another business that has joined our initiative.
Meet this coffee shop Sofra, which is located in Lviv (22 Staroevreiska St.). It is in this establishment that you can try real Crimean Tatar coffee and feel the sweet taste of Crimea. Now, over a cup of delicious coffee, you can also learn more about the historical names of settlements in Crimea.
“For Crimean Tatars, coffee on all holidays is an important part of ritual and hospitality. Coffee house Sofra is a place where you will be greeted in the same way as in every Crimean Tatar family, with the same comfort and real hospitality. Thanks to this, you will be able to find yourself in Crimea for a while, and thanks to the CTRC campaign “By returning the names we will return Crimea“, our guests will be able to learn more about the history and toponymy of Crimea”,- said the owner of the cafe, Elviie Khanum.
Thanks to Ukrainian entrepreneurs for their conscious position and their interest in such an important topic. It is precisely this kind of socially active business that should return to Crimea after its deoccupation.
We invite residents and guests of Lviv to visit the Sofra cafe to taste aromatic coffee, as well as get to know the real history and toponymy of Crimea.
