On Friday, October 4, in Warsaw, the Chairman of the Board of the Crimean Tatar Resource Center, member of Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people Eskender Bariiev and the CTRC lawyer Liudmyla Korotkikh held a working meeting with a representative of the Minority Rights Group Europe Nurangiz Khodzharova.
During the meeting, Ms. Nurangiz Khodzharova was informed about the current situation with the violation of human rights in the occupied Crimea and the collective rights of the Crimean Tatar people.
“The issue of Crimea and the persecution of the Crimean Tatar people should be on the agenda of the international community and a priority in the work of the Minority Rights Group,”- said Ms. Nurangiz Khodzharova.
The parties discussed areas of cooperation, including the possibility of joint actions to draw international attention to the problems of the Crimean Tatar people and protect their rights. Particular attention was paid to finding new formats of cooperation that could contribute to more effective defense of human rights at the global level.
