CTRC and Mejlis representatives visit Museum of Occupation in Latvia

October 22, 2024

On Tuesday, October 22, representatives of the Crimean Tatar Resource
Center and the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar People visited the Museum
of Occupation in Riga (Latvia).

The attendees, including the Chairman of Mejlis of the Crimean
Tatar People Refat Chubarov, Mejlis member Riza Shevkiev, Chairman of
the Board of the Crimean Tatar Resource Center, Mejlis member Eskender
Bariev, communications managers Tetiana Savchuk and Valentyna
Manzhula, were given a tour.

It is worth noting that the Museum of Occupation, located in Riga, the
capital of Latvia, is dedicated to highlighting the situation in
Latvia during the occupation of 1940-1991. The museum is extremely
structured and modern, each historical part of the occupation events
is separated, which helps visitors to quickly understand the essence
of the events of that time.

We remind that the representatives of the Crimean Tatar Resource
Center arrived in Latvia for the III Parliamentary Summit of the
Crimea Platform, which will be held on October 23-24. On October 23,
at 11:00, the Museum of Occupation will host a side event within the
framework of the Third Parliamentary Summit of the Crimea Platform.
The live broadcast will be available on the CTRC Facebook page.
