Crimean volunteer received suspicion from SSU

The SSU in absentia reported suspicion to a Crimean volunteer for helping to raise money to help the Russian military in the Kherson direction. This is stated in the published text of the suspicion.

According to the investigation, a 26-year-old native of Aqmescit (Simferopol) returned from Kyiv to Crimea at the beginning of a full-scale war and began volunteer activities. So, from October 2023 to February 2024, she collected money to purchase quadcopters, food and hygiene products for the Russian military who were located in the Kherson region. We are talking about the 126th Separate Guards Gorlovka Red Banner, Order of Suvorov Coastal Defense Brigade of the Russian Federation and the Crimea Volunteer Battalion.

The person involved in the case is called Kateryna Nesterenko: she is a volunteer of the occupation  Charitable Foundation “World of Crimea”   – Volunteers of Crimea, which is led by the wife of her brother, Andrii Petrusevych, who is already suspected of collaboration activities.

In addition, she is the daughter of the former deputy of the Aqmescit (Simferopol) city council from the bloc “For Yanukovych” Vitalii Petrusevych, elected in 2006.

She faces 10 to 12 years in prison with confiscation of property.
