Crimean political prisoner Emir Kurtnezorov, a defendant in the so-called “Hizb ut-Tahrir case” from the fourth Dzhankoy group, was illegally transferred by Russian occupiers to SIZO-1 in Rostov-on-Don. Currently, there is no contact with him. His wife, Safie Yakubova, informed Crimean Solidarity about this.

According to her, on December 16, she sent a written request to the Rostov SIZO and received a reply that her husband had been there since December 11.

“According to Yakubova, Emir Kurtnezorov has not yet contacted his family. He was probably held in a quarantine cell during these two weeks. The political prisoner’s wife hopes that after the quarantine is over, her husband will be able to respond to his relatives,” – the statement said.

The Crimean Tatar Resource Center condemns the illegal transfer of Crimean political prisoner Emir Kurtnezorov and demands that the Russian Federation immediately release him, as well as all other illegally detained Crimean political prisoners.
