Crimean citizen faces 5 years in prison through posts on the social network VKontakte

In Simferopol, a 23-year-old man was detained for posting calls for violence on ethnic grounds on the Internet.

“Under a pseudonym, a man prepared and posted on his page a text open to a wide range of users, which, according to an expert study, contains calls to commit violent acts against a group of people identified on the basis of origin and nationality”,- the press service of the FSB in Crimea and Sevastopol said.

A criminal case was initiated against him under another part of Article 280 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, Public calls for extremist activities committed using the Internet information and telecommunication network. For Internet extremism the man faces 5 years in prison.
