The Russian prosecutor’s office demands 18 years of strict regime for the artist from Yevpatoriia Bohdan Ziza, according to the Graty madia agency.

Speaking with the last word in the military court of Rostov-on-Don, Ziza said that he was going on a hunger strike in protest and would refuse food from July 10. He also demanded that he be stripped of his Russian citizenship, which he received after the annexation of Crimea, and that all Ukrainian political prisoners be released from Russian prisons.

“I, Ziza Bohdan, being a citizen of Ukraine, being of sound mind, realizing my actions and realizing the consequences, declare a hunger strike, the demand of which is to deprive me of Russian citizenship, as well as the release of all Ukrainian political prisoners from Russian prisons and their transfer to the Ukrainian side”,- Ziza said.

Ziza specifically noted that he forbids force-feeding himself.

“I ask you to consider such actions as torture, since they will be performed against my will”,- the artist said.

We remind you that that Bogdan Zizu is accused of violating Art. 30 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (attempt to commit a crime) and Art. 167 part 2 (intentional destruction or damage to another’s property, if these acts caused significant damage, committed out of hooligan motives, by arson, explosion or in any other generally dangerous way, or negligently caused the death of a person or other grave consequences). Under this article, Ziza is subjected to either forced labor for up to five years, or imprisonment for the same period. Later, the Russian security forces added two new articles to the charge of terrorism to Bohdan Ziza. So far, he is charged with 4 articles of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, three of them for terrorism: Art. 205 part 1 (committing a terrorist act), 205 part 1 (threat of committing a terrorist act), 205.2 part 2 (calling for terrorism), 214 part 2 (politically motivated vandalism).
