Bulgaria has established a working group that will deal with the development of security in the Black Sea region. This was announced by the Minister of Defense of the Republic of Bulgaria Atanas Zapryanov during the Second Black Sea Security Conference.

“Russia unambiguously poses a threat to collective security. The Russian navy, its provocative actions against peaceful ships in the Black Sea represents a risk to security in Bulgaria. Military actions interfere with the export of Ukrainian food through the Bulgarian economic zone. Sea mines affect economic supply routes in the Black Sea region. And it is in NATO’s interest to counter this threat,” he emphasized.

In addition, Zapryanov said that Ukraine can count on assistance.

“We will stand with Ukraine until we win the war. The world has seen that the war affects security in the region. We are ready to ensure stability. Russian aggression, the ambitions of the Kremlin, which wants to regain control of territory in Europe, commits war crimes,”- he emphasized.
