60-year-old political prisoner Azamat Eiupov suffered four minor strokes while in jail. Another political prisoner, Eskender Suleimanov, wrote about this in his letter published by the Crimean Solidarity.
“Currently I am in the same cell with Azamat aga Eiupov, who is 60 years old. This man suffered four minor strokes in prison, and this became known only after persistent appeals from a lawyer and relatives. Despite the presence of clear signs of this, the doctors of the pre-trial detention center accused him of simulation. This person can hardly move around the cell and has difficulties with the musculoskeletal system”,- said the prisoner of the Kremlin.
The Crimean Tatar is also aware of other health difficulties, such as high blood pressure and problems with the musculoskeletal system.
We remind you that on February 17, Russian security forces conducted seven searches in the homes of Crimean Tatars in Bilohirsk, Bakhchysarai, Simferopol, Sevastopol and the Sovietske district of the occupied Crimea. The detainees are charged with article 205.5 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. The Kyiv district court and the Lenin district court chose a preventive measure in the form of detention until April 15, 2021 for the Crimean Tatars detained after searches – Ernest Ibrahimov, Tymur Yalkabov, Azamat Eiupov, Oleh Fedorov, Lenur Seidametov and Yashar Shykhametov.
