Crimean Tatar Ayder Asanov was transferred from the pre-trial detention center 1 of Aqmescit (Simferopol) to the pre-trial detention center 2. This was announced by his wife Polina Asanova.
The political prisoner told his wife that the pre-trial detention center officers put pressure on him and other political prisoners: after the transfer, he still has not been given personal belongings (food and parcels).
“The administration treats them rudely, they drive them in the dolphin position, they can rudely push them by the neck so that the guys do not see their faces”,- said Polina Asanova.
According to his wife, there is only one iron bench in Asanov’s cell, which he uses with his cellmate in turn. In addition, every 2 hours, the pre-trial detention center employees conduct a check: the prisoners are taken out into the corridor face down and lowered from the fourth to the first floor.
The administration of pre-trial detention center 2 denies any illegal actions.
“After the meeting, two bosses came up to me to find out how my meeting went, one stood with a notebook. From an excess of emotions, I could not hold back my tears, I asked why they treat my husband in such a rude way. They denied everything”,- commented the wife of the political prisoner.
