The autumn conscription has begun in temporarily occupied Crimea.
This is the last call when young people aged 18 to 27 are considered fit for military service. This fall it is planned to call up 130 thousand people for service.
Along with the summons, the occupiers increased fines for failure to appear on summons 10 times – from 3 to 30 thousand.
Indeed, the Russian authorities are trying to attract young Crimeans into the ranks of the Russian army as much as possible. They are promised service within the Crimea. Unfortunately, this misleads many people, creating the illusion that military service is safe.
