Crimean Tatar Ametkhan Umerov was transferred to pre-trial detention center 2 in Aqmescit (Simferopol) with harsh conditions of detention Aqmescit (Simferopol) with strict conditions of detention. His wife Feride reported this to the Crimean Tatar Resource Center.
“My husband Ametkhan Umerov was transferred to pre-trial detention center 2 in Simferopol on November 2. From that moment on, I started writing letters to him through Zonatelecom. And finally, on November 9, I received a long-awaited letter from him. Now he is not kept alone in the cell, the conditions are harsh, his health is satisfactory”,- she said.
She noted that the detention regime is harsh: the man has to stand on his feet all day long, cannot lie down and do exercises, and the food is meager.
“Ametkhan dedicated one of his letters to his children. There he addresses the children with love and writes that in sha Allah these difficult times will pass quickly and we will be together again! Just help me, ask Allah in prayers”,- she asked.
We remind you that on March 15, the Southern District Military Court in Rostov-on-Don announced the verdict to Ametkhan Abdulvapov, a defendant in the Hizb ut-Tahrir case. The occupiers sentenced the man to 10 years and 6 months in prison.
