Arrested Ametkhan Umerov was forced by the occupants to shave off his beard in pre-triald detention center 2 in Akmesdzhit (Simferopol). Lawyer Edem Semedliaiev told Crimean Solidarity about this.
“Immediately on the day of his arrest, after the trial, Ametkhan was taken to a pre-trial detention center: he and two of his compatriots and friends”,- he said.
During the process, Umerov was also confiscated food and some of his personal belongings.
According to the lawyer, the detention conditions in the isolation ward are strict: from 6:00 to 22:00, it is forbidden to sit or lie on the bed. In addition, other Crimean Tatar political prisoners complained about this pre-trial detention center: Ekrem Krosh from Dzhankoi district was hit several times with a knee in the area of the ribs during registration and took away personal belongings and food. At the same time, Asan and Aziz Akhtemov were forced to memorize the Russian anthem in pre-trial detention center 2.
