The occupation authorities plan to bring additional ambulances from Russia to provide medical services in Yalta during the holiday season. This was stated by the Minister of Health of Ukraine in a comment for Krym. Realities”, said the Minister of Health of the peninsula Oleksiy Natarov.
According to him, dormitories have already been transferred for temporary accommodation of medical workers, which are awaiting repair. In the new conditions, 11 rooms will be equipped to accommodate additional teams.
Mr. Natarov noted that Yalta will need five to seven more ambulance crews to service the growing tourist flow. The shortage of medical staff is also becoming more acute in other cities on the peninsula.
According to preliminary data from the Ukrainian media, the shortage of ambulance workers in Akmesdzhit (Simferopol) is at least 30%. For their part, the Russian authorities in Crimea also recognize the problem: Galina Buglak, head of the Crimean Republican Center for Disaster Medicine and Ambulance, stated that staffing levels are 79%and the shortage is 21%.
