Ivan Rusiev, the head of the scientific department of the Tuzla Salt Lakes natural park, told about it.

According to him, more than a hundred dead dolphins were recorded in the bays of Sevastopol and in other places of Crimea in April.

According to Rusiev, among these animals there are contused ones and those with symptoms of damage by military sonars (ed. means of sound detection of underwater objects). At the same time, there are many dolphins of the bottlenose dolphin species among the dead.

Rare Black Sea animals are dying due to the activity of enemy submarines and surface ships in the Black Sea, on the territory of Crimea and Novorossiysk, the scientist emphasized.

Earlier, CTRC wrote that 50,000 dolphins died in the Black Sea.
