CTRC launches information campaign “Grave Mobilization”

November 14, 2022

On February 20, 2014, the Russian Federation invaded Ukraine, as a result of which the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol – the homeland of the indigenous peoples – Crimean Tatars, Karaites and Krymchaks, were occupied.

On February 24, 2022, Russia launched a full-scale armed invasion of Ukraine, and also occupied part of the territory of the southern mainland regions of Ukraine, where Crimean Tatars also live compactly.

Despite the fact that martial law has not been introduced in Russia and war has not been officially declared, on September 21, 2022, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced the so-called partial mobilization, which is being organized in violation of international humanitarian law, in particular in the occupied Crimea.

Since September 21, 2022, more than 60,000 summonses have been issued in Crimea, and about 20,000 people have been mobilized, most of whom are Crimean Tatars.

Moreover, on November 1, the 16th illegal draft began on the peninsula, which is actually a continuation of mobilization, because conscripts will continue to be sent to the Russian-Ukrainian war.

In fact, the mobilization is Putin’s response to the fact that his army and the entire military machine have proven ineffective. The proof of this is the number of dead soldiers (more than 80,000 people), the amount of destroyed military equipment (more than 18,000 units), as well as the successes of the Armed Forces, which have already liberated more than 3,000 square kilometers of the territory of Ukraine.

A summons to the Russian army means a notification of your death…

But what are you fighting for, Crimeans? What will you die for? Stop!

None of the residents of Crimea should become complicit in the international crime committed by the Russians in Ukraine. After all, soon Crimea, like Kherson, will be liberated and justice will definitely be restored. All will suffer their punishment.

Think about it!

But what will happen to you next depends on each of you…
