October 8, 2024

On 28 February 2024, the Crimean Tatar Resource Center and the Mykhailo Drahomanov Ukrainian State University held a roundtable discussion ‘Crimea: 10 Years of Resistance’, dedicated to the 10th anniversary of the occupation of Crimea.

The event brought together scholars, educators, human rights activists, civil servants, journalists, public figures and other interested parties.

The result of the roundtable was a collection of abstracts containing scientific articles on various topics related to Crimea, its occupation, Russian crimes on the peninsula, indigenous peoples of Ukraine, reintegration processes, etc.

‘Without a systemic study, it is impossible to formulate an effective state policy of Ukraine on deoccupation and reintegration of the temporarily occupied Crimea. Therefore, it is very important to involve scientists, researchers, graduate students and students in this process,’ – said Eskender Bariiev, Chairman of the Board of the Crimean Tatar Resource Center, member of Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people.
