On Thursday, July 21, the Ministry of Culture and Information Policy of Ukraine hosted a consultation meeting with the ethnic communities of Ukraine, which expressed their solidarity in the struggle to restore the territorial integrity of Ukraine.

During the meeting, the participants stressed the importance of solidarity in resisting Russia's armed attack on Ukraine. Representatives of different ethnic communities of Ukraine join the struggle on different fronts: someone takes up arms, someone informs the world about Russia's shameful attack on Ukraine, someone mobilizes humanitarian aid and political support in ethnically related countries.

“Ukraine has shown its readiness to be a hospitable and peaceful home for all people of good will who respect cultural diversity. In particular, thanks to this, we saw a consolidated resistance to Russian aggression by all ethnic communities in Ukraine”,- said Olena Bohdan, chairperson of the SEFC.

The head of the SEFC noted that Ukraine followed an inclusive path, recognizing all groups that had a distinct ethnic identity, wished to develop it as part of the diversity of ethnic cultures that exist in Ukraine today.

Chairman of the Public Council under the SEFC, Head of the Board of the Crimean Tatar Resource Center Eskender Bariiev announced consultations that the Public Council under the SEFC will hold in the near future in order to facilitate the speedy fulfillment of the requirements for joining the EU.

“We are united, we are all representatives of ethnic groups fighting together for our country, we are building our rule of law together”,- he stressed.
