Occupants will use one more well for water production

January 11, 2021

On Monday, January 11, at a meeting of the operational headquarters on the problems of water supply in Crimea, the so-called head of the Yalta administration, Yanina Pavlenko, said that they plan to use another well on the peninsula for water production, which will provide an additional 100 cubic meters of water.

“Of the two wells in Foros, which were transferred from Sevastopol to Crimea, today only one is involved with a flow rate of 100 cubic meters, which allows us to close the entire region today – from Zarya to Mount Dragon. There is another well that has not yet been used and we do not have any experience with it, but which will give 100 cubic meters of additional water and will allow us to supply water over the Mount Dragon”,- she said.

We remind you that earlier the occupants decided to gradually reduce the water supply to Crimea. The first stage: on the night of August 23-24, the daily water withdrawal dropped to 140 thousand cubic meters. The hot water supply was cut off. The second stage: from August 31 to September 7, water withdrawal decreased to 120 thousand cubic meters per day. Scheduled water supply was introduced. The third stage came on September 7. Water supply has decreased to 100 thousand cubic meters per day and is carried out by the hour – in the morning and in the evening.
