The occupants destroyed one of the sights of Crimea – “Pink Lake”. The reason for such an ecological catastrophe is a sand quarry, which, in violation of all environmental standards, is built on the shore of Lake Sasyk-Sivash. This is reported by residents of Evpatoria via Facebook.
"The reason for this environmental disaster is very simple, it is a sand quarry, which, in violation of all environmental standards, is created on the shore of Lake Sasyk-Sivash, sand is taken out of this illegal quarry by dump trucks, and, according to the modest estimates, 1,500 tons per day. If we take 320 working days a year, this is about 500 thousand tons of sand," – the message says.
It is noted that the sand has been removed for the past several years, it becomes clear why water disappeared.
The occupants violated the ecology of the lake, and the nesting of gulls and waterfowl will soon disappear."
And all this disgrace is happening under the approving silence of the Crimean authorities, and the strangest thing is also the Ministry of Ecology of Crimea!" – added residents of the peninsular.
