The prosecution used audio recordings of conversations about prayer as evidence of the guilt of the defendants in the Hizb ut-Tahrir case. Crimean Solidarity reports this.
The court heard an audio recording that, according to FSB officers, was secretly recorded in the mosque in 2015.
“We discussed a number of questions about namaz: how to perform namaz, what Sharia norms are on this matter etc. Of course, there was no talk about terrorism and extremism. This once again proves the nature of criminal cases”,- commented lawyer Emil Kurbedinov.
Judge Timur Mashukov announced a break in the trial until January 15, 2024. At the next meeting, it is planned to interrogate prosecution witnesses.
We remind you that early in the morning of August 11, 2022, mass searches of Crimean Tatar activists took place in Dzhankoi district of the occupied Crimea. Six men – Vilen Temerianov, Enver Krosh, Seitiya Abbozov, Murat Mustafayev, Edem Bekirov and Rinat Aliiev – were detained by security forces on charges of participation in Hizb ut-Tahrir.
After a search in the village of Blyzhnii Novhorod, Enver Krosh was put in a gazelle and taken to the FSB building in Simferopol.
In addition to the driver, there were 6 masked armed people in the car. On the way, one of them showed Enver Krosh’s phone and asked him to enter a password, he refused, and they began to torture him.
