Activist Yakubov arrested for 14 days in the occupied Crimea

On Thursday, February 29, in the temporarily occupied Crimea, a «court» sentenced activist Lenur Yakubov, who was detained after a search today, to 14 days of arrest. This was reported  on Facebook of the  Crimean Solidarity  public association.

«The court hearing in the case of Lenur Yakubov was held. The court sentenced him to 14 days of arrest without confiscation of the phone,» – it is said in the message.

Let us recall that on February 29, searches were conducted in the houses of four Crimean Tatars in the village of Zhuravki and in the mosque of Staryi Krym in Feodosia district.

The occupiers drew up a protocol against Lenur Yakubov under Article 20.3 of the Administrative Code of the Russian Federation («Propaganda or public display of Nazi attributes or symbols, or attributes or symbols of extremist organizations, or other attributes or symbols, the propaganda or public display of which is prohibited by federal laws»).

An administrative report was also drawn up against Izet Sayfullin, the imam of the Eski Qirim independent Muslim community, under Article 5.26 of the Administrative Code of the Russian Federation («Publication or distribution by a religious organization within the framework of missionary activities of literature, printed, audio and video materials without indicating its full official name or with incomplete or deliberately false labeling»).
