On February 24 and 26, 2023, actions and rallies were held around the world to mark the ninth anniversary of the occupation of Crimea and the first anniversary of the start of a full-scale Russian-Ukrainian war. Activists from many countries decided that day to express their solidarity and support to all Ukrainian and Crimean Tatar peoples.
Rallies and actions were held in Norway, Ireland, London, France, Kazakhstan, USA, Georgia, Sweden, Latvia, Great Britain and other countries of the world. During these events, activists unfurled the Crimean Tatar and Ukrainian flags, as well as posters designed by activists from the #LIBERATECRIMEA International Movement and the Crimean Tatar Resource Center.
The following slogans sounded on the streets of foreign cities: Return Crimea to Ukraine!, Crimea is Ukraine!, Stop War in Ukraine!, I stand with Ukraine and others.
We are very grateful to all the activists for such incredible support and we are glad that the visual products of the CTRC are used around the world and that our posters help to tell the international community about the crimes of the Russian Federation in Ukraine.
