The Simferopol District Court sentenced local resident Danylo Seriohin. He was found guilty under articles of repeated discreditation of the Russian army (Part 1 of Article 280.3 of the Criminal Code) and illegal possession of marijuana (Part 1 of Article 282 of the Criminal Code).

The case was opened due to a publication on Facebook under the pseudonym Afiho Baltasar. The man spoke out in support of Ukraine, criticized the Russian military invasion and reposted videos from Ukrainian media. In April, Seriohin was fined 40 thousand rubles under an administrative article about discrediting the army. Then a criminal case was opened against him.

The security forces allegedly found marijuana on him, and another case was opened against him. Before the verdict, the man was in jail. On September 20, the court sentenced Seriohin to 1.5 years in a penal colony.
