On Wednesday, February 28, in the North Caucasus Military District Court of Russia, held a hearing on Yalta “Hizb ut-Tahrir” case, where the case materials were read. According to the correspondent of the Russian service of Radio Liberty, the defense side noted a mismatch in the numbering of the case files. According to the lawyers, this may indicate to falsification of documents.

"The prosecutor read the papers and we were carefully monitoring it.In one moment, the numbering of the sheets began to diverge, including the documents that the prosecutor read as if Emir-Huseyn Kuku, in accordance with some letter, was involved in Ukraine for taking part in "Hizb ut-Tahrir " activities. Kuku denied this, I was surprised, I pointed out to the court that the case was different. The court tried to sort it out, but it's unclear why it happened at all." The case materials do not coincide in one of the volumes. It may be a technical mistake or may indicate to falsification of documents  The procurator reacted very nervously to our remarks on this matter. In addition, he suddenly read that during the search, some "copybook in Arabic" was found in Kuku's house, although this was not pointed in the  protocol of search", – said Kuku's lawyer  Alexander Popkov, reports "Krym.Realii".

As reported, at the meeting of the Russia-controlled garrison court of Crimea the relatives and journalists were not allowed to attend.

The  defense asked to ensure the openness of the trial, but refused. The court stated that the meeting was open, however, to attend it, it is necessary to come to Rostov.
The next meeting is scheduled for March 5.
