On Wednesday, February 14, a meeting with representatives of the OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (ODIHR) was held at the office of the Crimean Tatar Resource Center.
During the meeting, the representatives of the CTRC informed the guests about the cases of human rights violations in Crimea, told about the repression and torture applied to Ukrainian citizens living in Crimea, the prosecution of lawyers, the pressure on political prisoners and their families.
During the conversation, the monitoring methodology for human rights violations and mechanisms for ensuring the protection of the rights of political prisoners and persecuted people, were discussed. The OSCE representatives were provided with recommendations prepared by the Crimean Tatar Resource Center.
The sides also discussed prospects for cooperation in various directions to ensure respect for human rights and fundamental freedoms in the occupied Crimea on the principles of democracy.
