Ukrainians living in the occupied Crimea will become accomplices of the criminal activities if they go to illegal presidential elections in the Russian Federation. This was stated by the Chairman of the Crimean Tatar Resource Center Eskender Bariiev on Hromadske.TV

"This is a violation of international law: elections can not be held in the occupied territory, if our compatriots participate in elections, they will participate in criminal activities", – Bariev said, reports the website of Hromadske.TV

According to a member of Mejlis, the elections of the president of Russia, set for the day of the annexation of Crimea on March18, violate even Russian legislation.

"According to the definition of the Constitutional Court of the Russian Federation, the two terms of presidential authority are the constitutional limit. Putin should not have been registered as a candidate. This is a violation of the Constitution of the Russian Federation," he added.

At the same time, Bariiev noted that those Crimean Tatars, who will boycott the voting in  the elections, will not influence the results in any way.
