The “Court” in Crimea rejected two more appeals against fines for single pickets

On Tuesday, February 6, the Supreme “Court” of Crimea rejected appeals against the fines imposed on participants of single pickets. Ayder Ibrahimov and Luman Bovbekov have to pay fines of 10 thousand rubles,- reports “Crimean solidarity”.

Reference: on February 1, the  consideration of appeals against  fines for single pickets  started. After consideration of 6 complaints in the Supreme "court" of Crimea, 4 have been rejected, two single pickets’ participants have been reduced the sum of fines from 15 to 10 thousand rubles.

On February 5, the Supreme "Court" of Crimea rejected four appeals against fines imposed on participants of single pickets

On October 14, representatives of the indigenous Crimean Tatar people took part in one-man protests in different cities of Crimea. They urged the Russian authorities of the peninsula to stop repressions against the Crimean Tatars. More than 30 people were subjected to illegal detention then. Being fingerprinted, photographed, giving testimony and being deprived of posters all the detainees were released.

On December 18-19, the occupation courts in Crimea  fined more than 70 Crimean Tatar activists for single pickets held  on October 14. Everyone was charged with Part 5 of Art. 20.2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of Russia ("Violation of … the procedure for holding … picketing").
