A mother of the Crimean Tatar activist Girai Kulametov is allegedly accused of insulting a “police officer”

The Crimean Tatar activist Girai Kulametov, along with his mother Zarema Kulametova were summoned to the police department in Kirovskoe district, allegedly for insulting the police officer by activist’s mother. According to “Krym.Realii” website, with a reference to the activist of the “Crimean solidarity” Server Mustafaev.

"Allegedly, the mother of Girai Kulametov insulted and thus threatened the life and health of the police officer on the day of her son's detention. They have video and thus they can initiate a criminal case against her. Maybe some insults were heard from the mother's side, but these were only emotions. This can hardly be called or considered as some threat to the life", – Mustafaev said. 

According to the activist, Russian law enfocers suggested Zarema Kulametova  to "confess"  and close the case, but she did not take the blame without proper investigation".

Reference: On January 18, Russian law enforcers conducted searches in the houses of Crimean Tatar activists, participants of one-man protests on October 14 – Girai Kulametov (Staryi Krym) and Kemal Seityaev (Belogorsk). Both were detained. On the same day, the Kirovsky district court of  Crimea arrested Girai Kulametov for 10 days for publication of the video in 2012. He was charged with Article 20.3 of the Administrative Code of the Russian Federation. On January 28 Kulametov was released.
