The US imposed new sanctions against Russia

The US expanded the list of sanctions against Russia because of the situation in Ukraine. The list of sanctions included 21 individuals and 21 organizations. This is stated on the website of the Office of Foreign Assets Control of the US Treasury.

In particular, Deputy Minister of Energy of the Russian Federation Andrey Tcherezov, Director of the Department of operational control and management in the Electric Power sector Eugeny Grabchak,  the head of Technopromexport Sergey Topor-Gilka, and also the so-called Governor of Sevastopol Dmitry Ovsyannikov were on the list of individuals.
 
In addition, the list included Russian company Tekhnopromexport, which is engaged in the construction of energy facilities in Crimea and was associated with the supply of Siemens turbines to Crimea.
 
Earlier, the US Treasury Department introduced into the sanctions "Magnitsky list" five  citizens of Russian including the head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov.
