Nobel Peace Prize awarded to Ukrainian human rights activist in Oslo

December 12, 2022

In Norway, the Nobel Committee awarded the 2022 Peace Prize to laureates for representing civil society in their countries, among them Oleksandra Matviichuk, a representative of the Ukrainian Center for Civil Liberties.

“We regard it (the award) as recognition of the efforts of the entire Ukrainian people, who bravely opposed attempts to destroy the peaceful development of Europe, and as recognition of the importance of the work of human rights defenders in preventing a military threat throughout the world. We are proud that today for the first time the Ukrainian language will be heard at an official ceremony”,- the human rights activist noted in her speech.

For many years, we, together with our colleagues, continue to actively fight for our victory! All our activities are aimed at restoring justice, returning our territories and protecting the rights of people!
