The European Commission announced the 9th package of sanctions against Russia

The head of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, spoke about the content of the ninth package of sanctions against the Russian Federation.

Ursula Von der Leyen, in her speech, noted that Russia continues to bring death and destruction to Ukraine, deliberately targeting the civilian population and civilian infrastructure, trying to paralyze the country at the beginning of winter.

According to the 9th package of sanctions, almost 200 individuals and legal entities were blacklisted, and 3 more Russian banks fell under the sanctions.

As well as:

New export controls will be introduced, in particular for dual-use goods.

Russia will be limited access to drones, including their supply through third countries such as Iran.

The sanctions provide for a ban on the broadcasting of four TV channels both on the air and through other platforms.

New restrictions for the mining sector, including a ban on new investments.
