For 9 months of 2022, 138 cases of arrests were recorded, of which 104 were against representatives of the indigenous Crimean Tatar people. Of the 138 cases: 37 were sentences, 35 were new arrests, 18 were administrative arrests, and 48 were extensions of detention. For the same period last year, 147 cases of arrest were recorded, and for 2020 – 195.
This is stated in the analysis of human rights violations in the occupied Crimea of the Crimean Tatar Resource Center.
We remind you that earlier the Crimean Tatar Resource Center presented an analysis of human rights violations in the occupied Crimea for 9 months of 2022. According to the organization, during the reporting period, the Russian security forces conducted 25 searches, 108 detentions/arrests and 124 interrogations, interviews and conversations. The total number of arrests in the first 9 months of this year is 138. There were 263 cases of violation of the right to a fair trial, 25 – to the healthcare access. There were also 24 cases of transferring of political prisoners in Crimea. In addition, the analysis contains data on human rights violations in the Kherson and Zaporizhzhia regions during the full-scale war.
