The National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine imposed sanctions against Russian celebrities, against which the CTRC demanded to apply sanctions back in December 2021.
In particular, from the list of more than 200 people prepared by the Crimean Tatar Resource Center, the following artists, presenters, singers fell under sanctions: Polina Gagarina, Dima Bilan (Dmitry Bilan), Larisa Dolina, Grigory Leps (Grigory Lepsveridze), Oleg Gazmanov, Timati (Timur Yunusov), Marat Basharov. The National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine imposed sanctions against them back in March 2022. At the same time, according to Presidential Decree No. 726/2022 of October 19, 2022, Igor Ugolnikov, Ekaterina Volkova, Sergey Bezrukov, Olga Buzova, Slava (Anastasia Slanevskaya), Igor Sklyar, Ekaterina Andreeva, Ivan Okhlobystin, Vadim Samoilov Natalya Bochkareva, Stas Kostyushkin, Stas Mikhailov.
These individuals support Russian aggression and have been repeatedly seen visiting the temporarily occupied Autonomous Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol.
Despite the fact that most of the rashists from the list of the CTRC are not yet under sanctions, the International Working Group on Sanctions Against Russia has prepared a draft document with recommendations to impose sanctions on Russian performers, artists, hosts, most of which are included in the list of the CTRC submitted for consideration by the competent authorities in December 2021.
