The figurants of Bakhchisaray “Hizb ut-Tahrir case” will remain in custody until March 9

On Wednesday, January 17, the Supreme Court of Crimea rejected the appeals of the defendants of Bakhchisaray “Hizb ut-Tahrir case”. Ernest Ametov, Marlen Asanov and Server Zekiryaev will remain in prison until March 9. The “court” was held in closed mode. The defense applications were rejected.

On December 5, the Kiev district "court" of Simferopol extended the detentionperiod to political prisoners until March 9.

On October 11 in Bakhchisaray, security officers conducted regular mass searches in  the houses of 6 Crimean Tatars. All of them were detained. They were charged with article 205.5. part 2 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation "Participation in the activities of an organization that is recognized as a terrorist in accordance with the legislation of the Russian Federation".
