NATO in the media of the occupied Crimea: NATO special services coordinated the operation to hijack Russian aircraft by Ukraine”

July 26, 2022

NATO intelligence agencies coordinated an operation to hijack Russian aircraft by Ukraine. This fake is replicated by the Russian federal media and the media of the occupied Crimea.

First, this operation is fiction. And the NATO special services do not participate at all, let alone coordinate any special operations of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Secondly, NATO does not have its own special services and does not participate in operations either on the territory of Ukraine or on the territory of the Russian Federation.

In reality, NATO has very few permanent military forces of its own. When the Alliance decides to conduct a joint operation, it requests member states to provide units and military equipment, which are placed under NATO command for an appropriate period. The personnel involved in a NATO operation are considered NATO forces, more precisely, these are multinational forces from NATO member countries, and in some cases from partner countries and other states that wish to contribute troops.

Recall that the Crimean Tatar Resource Center has launched a new column NATO in the media of the occupied Crimea, aimed at tracking fake information in the temporarily occupied Crimea about the values, goals and current activities of NATO and refuting this information.
