Jamala, Sviatoslav Vakarchuk, Taras Topolia: CTRC is preparing a promo video about Crimea with the involvement of famous people of Ukraine

July 20, 2022

Despite the fact that for eight years now there has been a temporary occupation of Crimea by the Russian Federation, the inhabitants of Ukraine remain insufficiently aware of the situation in Crimea. Unfortunately, many are starting to get used to the fact that the peninsula is not Ukrainian.

Therefore, we believe that it is necessary to carry out constant work to inform the Ukrainian society about the situation in Crimea. With this in mind, the Crimean Tatar Resource Center previously launched the #LIBERATECRIMEA information campaign dedicated to four historical dates related to Crimea:

• February 26 – Day of resistance to the Crimean occupation;

• May 18 – Day of Remembrance of the victims of the genocide of the Crimean Tatar people;

• June 26 – Day of the Crimean Tatar national flag;

• August 9 – Day of the World's Indigenous Peoples.

In addition, the team of the Crimean Tatar Resource Center decided to prepare a thematic promo video with the involvement of famous people and leaders of public opinion in Ukraine. With this video, we want to tell more about the situation in the occupied Crimea, the indigenous peoples of Ukraine, their history and culture.

Friends, expect the premiere of our video very soon, in which well-known singers of Ukraine Jamala, Sviatoslav Vakarchuk, Taras Topolia, film director Akhtem Seitablaiev and editor-in-chief of the online publication Ukrainian Truth Sevhil Musaieva have already taken part. All of them, through the prism of their own stories, will tell about the dates associated with the Crimea and the importance of the unity of the Ukrainian people in such difficult times.

Follow our news.

Do not miss the premiere of the video, which we will publish on our resources:
