The defendant in the so-called second Simferopol Hizb ut-Tahrir case, Dzhemil Gafarov, was diagnosed with hypertension, which is incompatible with being in prison. It was reported by Crimean Solidarity public association.
“Political prisoner Dzhemil Gafarov has been undergoing inpatient treatment in the Rostov-on-Don prison hospital for more than two weeks. At the court session in the so-called second Simferopol Hizb ut-Tahrir case, Judge Valery Opanasenko read out the response of the medical institution MOTB-19 to the request of the court. It included a list of diseases that were found in Dzhemil Gafarov during his stay at the hospital for treatment”,- the report said.
It is noted that Dzhemil Gafarov was diagnosed with coronary heart disease, postinfarction cardiosclerosis, angina pectoris of functional classes 2 and 1, chronic renal failure, chronic interstitial nephritis, hypertension of the third degree, arterial hypertension of the first degree, the risk of cardiovascular complications of the fourth degree is very high.

It is reported that they used physical force against detainees and entered the houses in shoes. Lawyers who arrived at the site of the searches were not allowed to contact the detainees. According to the results of the searches, 20 people were suspected of involvement in the Hizb ut-Tahrir organization, which is banned in the Russian Federation. On March 28, three more Crimean Tatar activists were detained, in whose dwellings searches were carried out in their absence. On March 27-28, the occupation court arrested all 23 detainees after searches. They chose a preventive measure in the form of detention. Subsequently, all the figurants involved in this so-called case were repeatedly extended the terms of their arrest.
