Press conference: Two flags – one country

On Tuesday, June 21 at 11:00, at the Ukrinform news agency, the Crimean Tatar Resource Center, the State Service for Ethnopolitics and Freedom of Conscience of Ukraine and Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people will hold a press conference as part of the information campaign #LIBERATECRIMEA: Two flags – one country, dedicated to the Day of the Crimean Tatar flag.

We invite journalists, public figures, as well as everyone who wants to join the event.

Speakers:

Eskender Bariiev – Head of the Board of the Crimean Tatar Resource Center, head of the Department of Legal Affairs and Foreign Affairs of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people;

Olena Bohdan – Head of the State Service of Ukraine for Ethnopolitics and Freedom of Conscience;

Refat Chubarov – Head of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people;

Akhtem Seitablaiev – Film director;

Andrii Yermolenko – Artist;

Tetiana Podvorniak – Communications manager of the Crimean Tatar Resource Center.

Today, the Crimean Tatar flag has become a symbol of the struggle for Crimea not only for the Crimean Tatars, but also for Ukraine as a whole. This is a symbol of invincibility and the struggle of the indigenous people for their rights and freedom.

As part of the event, the speakers will inform about the history of the Crimean Tatar flag and its importance in uniting Ukrainian society in the context of the Russian-Ukrainian war, present visual information content prepared by the Crimean Tatar Resource Center for the Crimean Tatar Flag Day as part of the #LIBERATECRIMEA information campaign and inform about events dedicated to this date around the world, held by the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people and public organizations.
