A meeting of experts of the Crimean Platform was held in Kyiv

On Wednesday, June 1, a meeting was held at the office of the Crimean Platform with representatives of the Expert Network of the Crimean Platform.

The meeting was attended by representatives of 7 working groups: The policy of non-recognition and sanctions, Human rights and IHL, Safe track, Cultural heritage, Humanitarian policy, Ecology and economy, Restoration of the rights of indigenous peoples as tool for the de-occupation of Crimea.

Head of the Board of the Crimean Tatar Resource Center, Head of the Department of Legal Affairs and Foreign Affairs of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people Eskender Bariiev took part in the meeting as a coordinator of the working group Restoration of the rights of indigenous peoples as a tool for the de-occupation of Crimea.

“Our main task is to help ensure that Crimea remains on the agenda all the time, especially in the context of a full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine. The Mission of the President of Ukraine in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea should contribute to this, as well as help public organizations that work in this direction”,- he stressed.

In addition, Bariiev added that, based on the experience of the occupation of Crimea, it is necessary to make recommendations for the new occupied territories.
